Revive Your Flower Arrangements

If you often send flowers or are on the receiving end, it is good to know that it is actually possible to revive wilted flowers under certain circumstances. However, this can only be done if the wilting is premature.

This is done by first preparing a sink or basin of warm water and then laying the flowers inside it. The stem is cut usually about an inch above while it is still underwater and the cut flower is left in the water for around two hours as the water cools down to room temperature. This process is usually applied to roses and can really bring the life back to the flowers but only if they have not past their vase life.

There is always a misunderstanding that cut flowers, being plants would do better under sunlight but this is untrue due to the part mentioning that the flowers are cut. Uncut flowers, or basically the entire plant require sunlight for photosynthesis and maturation but once a flower is cut off the plant, neither can take place anymore and sunlight will only cause the flowers to fade and wilt more easily.

They will wilt and die sooner or later and it is best to keep them in a cool place protected by direct sunlight for the flowers to live out their remaining glory and this is something to keep in mind the next time you send flowers or receive them.

To receive flowers is always such a great gift, make sure that your arrangements last as long as possible.
